Engage ALDI fans to crown their favorite products of 2024
Each year, ALDI invites its loyal customers to vote for their favorite products in a variety of fun categories, from viral must-haves to ready-to-go meals. For the 2024 Fan Favorites campaign, ALDI needed a compelling digital push to both encourage voting and celebrate the winners.
Solution
I designed a 2 phase campaign to build excitement and engagement. Phase 1 encouraged voting & Phase 2 revealed the winners. With no product images early on, I created flexible, engaging designs that adapted once photos arrived. The client loved both IG story concepts so much they approved both!

I used simple, clear animations to make digital voting feel quick and intuitive. One reinforcing ease of digitally voting. The other used a countdown clock sticker to create urgency & showed votes being cast. The client loved the concepts so much they released both, using one for the initial push and the other as a last-chance reminder.

I made the winner announcement interactive. The 1st frame used Instagram’s new "shake and reveal" sticker to unveil a group shot of some of the winning products. The second frame featured a fast-moving animation of individual winners and categories, requiring users to press to pause and reveal a product. This gamified approach encouraged fans to engage while keeping the content dynamic.
